On April 22 the Chicago Group of the Sierra Club and Surfrider Chicago are hosting an Earth Day clean-up at Montrose beach from noon to 3pm. All ages are welcome and it's a great event for groups, families, youth, or anyone else who wants to make an impact by taking care of the city's biggest beach.
There will also be guided nature tours through the bird sanctuary running all afternoon for anyone interested- bring your binoculars if you have them!
Meet at the tent near the south end of the large white building at Montrose Beach (opposite end from The Dock bar/restaurant, near kayak rentals). There will be signs guiding you and a Sierra Club banner to mark the spot.
Your event host, Katrina Phillips, will be at the table under the tent, welcoming everyone and getting them checked in.
